London University Bouldering Event
LUBE is a student run, not for profit, national bouldering competition. It is open to any university teams wishing to compete.
It was started in 2010 in response to the lack of affordable bouldering competitions aimed at student teams.
LUBE has come a long way since the initial single round competition to a 4 round annual competition across the Autumn and Winter months.
What is LUBE?
LUBE takes place over 4 rounds at prominent venues across London.
Each university can bring up to 8 climbers (2x teams of three members (mixed) and 2 individuals).
25 routes are set out and climbers are given three hours to complete as many routes as they can.
Prizes are awarded to the top three men and women at each round and the overall top three men, women and university teams at the final round.
The LUBE 2016 rounds will be held:
- At Vauxwall on the 31/10/15
- At Craggy Island Sutton on the 21/11/15
- At White Spider on the 13/02/16 (No longer 6/02/2016)
- At The Reach on the 05/03/16
