Opened in September 2015 - Arch North is the latest development from the Arch Climbing Wall team. The new centre is housed below a new appartment complex easily accessible from Burnt Oak Station, just off the main road. The new centre; will run along side the current Biscuit for a year or so when it will make way for a new flat development and Building 1, both down in Bermondsey. All of which have 1 shared membership.

 

The centre is very bright, well routed and has excellent new facilities. It was a little quieter than recent visits to both the Biscuit and Building 1 but we weren't complaining at all!

 

The Centre

Within a short walk from a Northern line tube station in North-West London, and slightly larger than the existing Biscuit Factory site, the Arch North is a great new addition to the under resourced North London area. A modern, glass fronted spacious building offering up to 11,000 square feet of climbing.

 

Burnt Oak is located on the Edgware branch of the Northern line.

 

Arch North is divided into 10 areas which feature mostly overhanging climbs. We have an extensive slab wall to compliment and a hugely popular horizontal roof and barrel wall feature.

 

There are two large stand alone boulder islands and modern strength training facilities, 45 degree training board, gym rings, finger boards and gym apparatus. Arch North features exceptional modern facilities, changing rooms, showers, lockers, seating area, coffee bar and shop.

All memberships and entrances are valid across all Arch centres.

Climbing at Arch North

 

Adults - Anyone can climb at the Arch if they are a competent climber. If you are not a competent climber you will need to take an Introduction class before their first visit.

Children - under 14 require adult supervision at all times during their visit and are restricted to groups of 2 children. This means that the adult needs to be a competent climber or have taken an Introduction lesson previously.

 

Children between 14-18 years old can climb unsupervised with a parental letter of consent. Again unless the 14-18 year old is already a competent climber, they will need to take an Introduction class before their first visit. Bookings are made via email at thebiscuit@archclimbingwall.com

Registration / Membership / Discounts

 

Registration at all the Arch Climbing walls is totaly free. If you are an experienced climber you can register on arrival. Registration involves reading and fully understanding the ‘Rules & Conditions of the Centre’ and signing the declaration form accordingly.
