The London Climbing Guide.com website makes no attempt to offer instruction of any kind, and you should not assume that information you read is an adequate substitute for instruction or experience.

London Climbing Guide (LCG) does not recognise any liability for injury or damage caused to, or by, climbers, third parties, or property arising from such persons seeking reliance on this information as an assurance for their own safety.



The Web Site may contain links to third party web sites which are controlled and operated by parties other than London Climbing Guide Limited. The links will let you leave the Web Site and LCG is not responsible for the contents of any linked site or any link contained in a linked site. The inclusion of any link on the Web Site does not imply endorsement by LCG of the linked site. If you decide to access linked third party web sites, you do so at your own risk.

 

London Climbing Guide DATA PROTECTION POLICY

 

  • We control and process data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998

  • We operate using the guidelines laid down by the Information Commissioners Office

  • LONDON CLIMBING GUIDE stores all data in password protected files in a secure drive  and firewalls are in place across all our systems

  • LONDON CLIMBING GUIDE implements and maintains sufficient technical measures to avoid the possibility of unauthorised or unlawful processing of data or of loss, destruction or damage to that data

  • LONDON CLIMBING GUIDE uses all reasonable endeavours in relation to data security to prevent any unauthorised disclosure of any part of any client data or internal records

  • Personal data is only accepted when essential to completion of works - otherwise we use URNs

  • Access to personal data is restricted to those people required to process and analyse the data

  • Personal data is processed fairly and lawfully

  • No personal information is included in any report generated by this agency

  • No confidential information is shared other than with the relevant client or with that client’s express consent

  • Personal data is collected and used for specific purposes only

  • Data is encrypted as agreed with the client

  • Data transfer methods are agreed with clients in advance of data transmission.

  • Data is transferred securely using sFTP in password protected files or encoded portable media only

  • LONDON CLIMBING GUIDE password policy

    • Passwords are unique to individual users

    • Passwords are not disclosed or written down

    • Passwords are changed regularly

    • Passwords are always communicated independently of data files 

  • No personal or sensitive data is transferred to or from outside the EEC unless suitable guarantees of security are in place

  • Sensitive data is disposed of securely and in a timely fashion: Personal data is kept only for the amount of time agreed with the client. Thereafter it is deleted or returned to the client

  • The minimum number of hard copies of personal information are kept. Where hard copy data is kept, it is in locked filing cabinets and is securely disposed of  when no longer required

  • LONDON CLIMBING GUIDE operates a clear screen  and clear desk policy

  • LONDON CLIMBING GUIDE offices are locked and alarmed when empty and are never unattended during business hours:

  • The risk of accidental visibility of client or internal data is minimised by the screen and desk placement of data processors

  • Computer equipment is wiped and disposed of securely by LONDON CLIMBING GUIDE’s IT support partner when no longer required

  • In the event of any loss of or damage to data then the appropriate project manager or client contact is informed immediately

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

 

COMPETITIONS T&C's

 

1. This is a London Climbing Guide (“we/”us”/”our”) competition. For more info about us take a look at our website at www.LondonClimbingGuide.com.

2. By entering this competition you're agreeing to receive emails from us at London Climbing Guide which you can unsubscribe to at any time. For more information take a look at our Privacy and cookie policy on our website

3. All entries must be received by midnight 24/12/14.

4. Only one entry per person.

5. All entrants must be aged 18 years or over and be a UK resident.

6. Winners will be notified by email within 28 days of the competition closing.

7. By entering the competition you agree that if you win your name may be publicised.

8. Winners should allow up to 28 days for delivery of prizes.

9. If a winner doesn’t claim a prize within 28 days of being notified, or if a winner isn’t available to take up the prize, we may award the prize to another entrant (or not award the prize at all) without liability to the winner.

10. All prizes are subject to availability, non transferable and non exchangeable. We may change the prize to a prize that we consider to be of broadly equivalent value. There is no cash alternative.

11. Prizes will be despatched to winners via the Parcel Force unless otherwise stated. We will not be liable for any prizes which are lost, delayed or damaged in the post for reasons beyond our control.

12. Should a winner's contact details change, it is their responsibility to notify us.

13. We reserve the right to request proof of a winner's identity in the form of a passport or driver’s licence and proof of address in the form of a utility bill. In the event that a winner can’t provide us with proof of identity reasonably acceptable to us, we may withdraw the prize and select another winner.

14. Unless specified otherwise entrants must only enter the competition once and must use their legal name. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant who uses multiple names and to require them to return any prize they may have won. Entrants may not enter or participate as part of a syndicate or on behalf of any other person, syndicate, group, society or company. You may not enter the competition using automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that permits any person to enter the competition repeatedly.

15. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, representations, covenants and liability (whether express or implied) regarding the competition or the prize but this won’t exclude our liability for death or personal injury as a result of our negligence.

16. Our decision as to the winner is final. In the event of any dispute regarding the competition, our decision will be binding and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

17. We may disqualify you from winning the prize if we have reasonable grounds to suspect you may be in breach of these Terms and/or your use of a mobile phone and/or your participation in the competition may be fraudulent or otherwise unlawful.

18. We reserve the right to amend or to cancel, alter or amend the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in our opinion, or if circumstances arise outside our control.
