The Centre

HWBP may be small but punches well above it's weight. Built in an old printers it has blocs from V0 to V8 with plenty in between. In addition to regular routesetting they offer friendly staff, local coffee and cake and ideal training facilities for anyone looking to get stronger and progress through the grades. If you have no one to climb with they run a Boulder Social three times a week; where there will be a friendly volunteer on hand to offer encouragement and advice. The Boulder Social is a free service and is open to anyone!

Climbing at HWBP

No matter what your experience, you will be asked to watch a short video induction, read our conditions of use and fill out a registration form. The staff will ask you a couple of questions to ensure you have understood the induction and then you will be free to use the centre. Under 16s must be supervised by a registered adult and we do not offer climbing for under 8 years old. 16 to 18 year old climbers can use the centre without an adult present but must have a parent or guardian visit the centre and sign the forms on the first visit. Check our website for more details on bringing minors to the centre.

Discounts

We offer discounts for students and NHS staff. If you are looking to bring a group from work or an organisation drop an email to the centre manager ( info@hackneywickboulder.co.uk) and a discretionary discount may be applied.

Other Facilities

We have an excellent cafe onsite offering locally sourced coffee, cakes and energy bars. We also have a discount system with a local bar, Grow, for that post climb pint or a bite to eat (not to mention live music and a fun atmosphere).
